The interface in this scheme is based on yellow strings (or laces) which are drawn through ﾒholesﾓ in the menubar and scroll bars. The colors in this scheme are yellow (actually yellow-beige) and dark blue-violet, two colors which are very easy on the eye, thus allowing you to use this scheme for hours without being distracted. To match the look-and-feel of the windows, custom 3D folders with beige color have been added. Also included are six Desktop Patterns and four Window Monkey patterns for use in Finder Windows.
Required to use this Color Scheme:
- Version 1.7 or newer of the Kaleidoscope control panel.
- A color screen capable of displaying at least 256 colors (8 bit).

Installation:
1. Drop this scheme into your "Kaleidoscope Color Schemes" folder which is located in your "extensions" folder inside the "system folder". (or onto an alias of the "Kaleidoscope Color Schemes" folder placed on e.g. your desktop.)
2. Open the Kaleidoscope control panel and select the "Yellow Strings" scheme in the list.
3. Copy the Desktop Patterns to the ﾒDesktop Patternsﾓ control panel, and pick the one you like best.
4. Copy the Window Monkey Patterns to the ﾒWindow Monkeyﾓ control panel.
5. Go back to the Finder and pick a pattern for your windows from the ﾒPatternﾓ submenu in the ﾒViewﾓ menu.

Recommended use:
Since this scheme is based on colors which are very hard to generate with the 16 colors palette, I strongly recommend running this color scheme in 256 colors (8 bit) or higher.
I would also recommend that you:
--> Use one of the recommended Window Monkey patterns, or set the Finder window color to 20 % red, 20 % green and 40 % blue. When using system 7, this creates colored text in Finder windows.
--> If you are using macOS 8 and want to get colored text in Finder windows, use Window Monkey and pick the blue-violet pattern without any ovals. Set the text color to 100 % red, 80 % green and 60 % blue, by clicking at the color button in the bottomleft corner of the ﾒPatternsﾓ part of the Window Monkey control panel. To see the new text color in the Finder, youﾕll have to reselect the pattern from the Finderﾕs View menu.
--> Use one of the recommended desktop patterns.
